Atlanta's rising, Quantivius is blowing up right now - From BandLab to SoundCloud, making music for just him to listen to in the car, and not following trends. Here's why avid hip-hop fans should click play:
Landing on the Underising pages today is Quantivius, a songwriter/vocalist whom is crafting music that flips from flex rap/hip-hop bangers to even afro pop, reggae with a seemingly effortless, natural skill. Born and raised in Atlanta's pulsing streets, Quan soaked up the city's trap soul but carved his own lane, blending that raw lyrical punch with unavoidable, head-bumping vibes. His sound isn't just versatile-it's a middle finger to boxes, defying what a typical Atlanta artist sounds like.

Whether spitting vengeful bars or dropping tracks that make you wanna dance, it becomes evident that there is real experience, real pain, and real hustle behind every bar. From late-night studio sessions to grinding out his craft, his story is authenticity- someone who's not just chasing clout but building a legacy one song at a time.
I started [making music] when I was 18-19 but I kept everything- it was for me. I just wanted something to listen to in the car that I like.
Q. Your track 'I'm Sayin' is doing numbers right now, congrats. You mentioned in the description that the song is a throwaway?
A. Thanks, yes that was a throwaway when I initially made the song I didn’t like it and I was beating myself up about it, but I was very surprised that it got so many plays despite the fact that it wasn’t mixed or I did any adlibs. My dad was hyping it up and wanted me to drop it.
Q. Sick, you're from Atlanta, born and raised?
A. Yessir.
Q. What do you think about the music scene in Atlanta?
A. It's competitive, people don't really support. It has a lot of hype because a lot of people are making music out here but everyone's looking for something, there's no real love out here.
The scene runs on straight reciprocity -- like you're either in the circle, or you're dead in the water. Not a lot of romance in it anymore, but if you play nice with the right people? Doors fly open. He's not bitter, just real about it. It's always been like this.
Q. What's your recording process like?
A. My recording process is, I have an at home studio and I really use that to get a blueprint of what I'm going to record. Most of my songs have been done on BandLab and then I was like "this has a lot of potential I'm going to take this to an engineer." And I actually have not been to a real studio yet. I've got two engineers and they have some at home studios and they're really supportive. They see the vision and they put a lot of time into making sure my stuff comes out good.

As we chopped it up a little, Quantivius mentioned he first started recording during the infamous 2021 lockdown. He then linked me his BandLab and to my surprise, it all began to make sense. In a new age where anyone with a smartphone and some headphones can make a song, it takes real talent to stand out of the crowd more than ever. Quantivius found success being himself and after sufficient nods from his circle to release, he took his talents to SoundCloud.
